Cantina Toblino, Lakes Valley, Trentino Alto-Adige

The organic Cantina di Toblino was founded in 1960 in the Trentino Alto-Adige region of northern Italy. The vines and winery are situated next to Lake Toblino where the gentle breezes and cooling microclimate make for excellent growing conditions. There are currently 500 members who contribute to the co op and the company itself farms approximately 40 hectares locally. The wines enjoy DOC Trentino status and in 1999 a new winery was built next to the original building to further improve quality and production

Its vineyards display the full array of the native grape varieties of the region, of which Kerner is a perfect example. Notes of yellow fruit, dried herbs and a distinct minerality are framed by a lively acidity and a long, well defined finish. Incredibly versatile and aromatic
