2022 Morgan’s Reserve Chardonnay
Wine Collective members of old, know how long we’ve been championing Morgan’s Reserve. Their many fans can attest to the fact that they offer some of the best-value wines anywhere in the country.
Morgan’s was originally a label that used fruit from a single vineyard up near Lenswood in the Adelaide Hills, but of course, things change. They now scour the entire region looking for the best fruit at the best price.
This latest vintage has been crafted by none other than the Barossa Valley Winemaker of the Year 2022 – Matt Pellew – and the talented team at Burge Family Wine Estates. For decades the famed family of Grant & Trent Burge have been honing in on exactly what people want in their wines – generosity of fruit, mountains of flavour, and of course drinkability. This latest iteration of Morgan’s has it all in spades, plus throw in that achingly brisk climate of the Adelaide Hills (which helps the fruit blossom into flavours of citrus and stonefruit), and you’ve got what might just be one of the best vintages we’ve seen yet under this label.
