Cooperativa Valli Unite, Montale Celli, Gavi & Lower Piedmont (Biodynamic)
The Valli Unite agricultural cooperative was founded in 1981 with the aim of uniting three small family businesses and sharing land, work means, work energy and above all ideals. Always attentive to respect for the environment, as has been taught by the farmer fathers, our way of doing agriculture has returned to the parameters of organic farming (ICEA). After 25 years the United Valleys are a nucleus of 20 people from different lands and experiences that cultivate, breed, transform and sell wine made from native vineyards such as Timorasso, Barbera, Dolcetto, Croatina and Cortese. The principles and producer ideals: sociality and socialization, respect for nature, opposed to genetic manipulation, protection of old varieties and native breeds. We focus on man strength. We try to operate in decrease by investing in innovations in energy techniques. Supporters of life, biodiversity and careful land management.
Delicious, smile-inducing Dolcetto and Croatina blend. It is named for Ottavio Rubé himself, one of the coop’s founders, whose twinkly-eyed, white-bearded countenance belies a deeply philosophical and idealistic character. Bright fresh fruit nose, red cherry, light-to-medium bodied. Nice grip and savoury flavours on a palate structured by refreshing acidity.
Grapes: , 80% Dolcetto, 20%Croatina
